You had questions? We've got answers! Here's the next round from us, the last until after GDC. We'll probably start a new thread then to help keep things simple.

In terms of PVP: we know a lot of you are asking about details on this, and (for reasons I hope are evident) we've consolidated our reply into a single response.

How does PVP work?
A: PVP will be on a sever-by-server basis, meaning that players who chose to participate in PVP may do so but those who do not, will not be required to play on severs that allow PVP. There are no predetermined factions in TERA, but we expect guilds to come into conflict with each other and PVP will be one way that conflict is expressed. Since we're still making adjustments based on feedback from the FGTs and Beta tests, we'll share further details on PVP in the future.

Will High Elves be able to have red hair?
A: The High Elves (and other races) are exploring new hairdressers and colorists.

Are there any available entry-level or internship positions available with En Masse?
A: Visit http://www.enmasse.com and click Careers to browse our available positions.

Are you taking action against people who leaked material covered under NDA?
A: We take leaks very seriously and will take action as appropriate.

Is there a date yet for a FGT or Beta for us anytime soon?
A: Stay tuned after GDC!

Is it going to be like the Korean one with 20k testers and stress test? I'm really concerned about the status of our beta tests.
A: We'll be testing many things during future betas, including stress tests.

Will the next FGT run on the same client and game data as the third closed beta in Korea?
A: No.

Is there really no chance the game is going to be released in 2010?
A: We'd rather take a little extra time to make sure the game is great than rush the game to market.

That's it for this round, see you after GDC!

Enjoy and have a great night!

Aion: Love Stories from across Factions – Valentine’s Day Event

Pixiv has partnered with NC Japan and launched brand new Valentine's Day Event for Aion Players. This "Love Stories between Elyos and Asmodian" themed event allows players to share their love stories from across factions through beautiful graphics. It is also stated that those works would be released on the official site of Aion (Japan Version). This event will last until Feb 28th.

What we know about Tera onlne!

Bluehole Studio
Based in Seoul, South Korea, Bluehole Studio is the company behind TERA. The experienced development team is best known for having worked with NCSoft on their Lineage games. Dedicated to creating such a revolutionary game as TERA, the company appears to be aiming towards impressing its audience with compelling graphics, a unique battle system and chances to involve the community in the game’s economy and political system.

TERA
The word TERA is an acronym for “The Exiled Realm of Arborea”. The game has been in development for around three years and it runs on the Unreal Engine 3. Thus far, the game boasts a very unique combat system (which you can preview here), six races, eight classes (both of which can be previewed here), a promised political system, and next generation graphics. Though the exact release date has not been announced, the game is planned to be released in both Korea and North America sometime in 2010. There have been two closed BETA tests so far in Korea and one FGT (Focus Group Test) in the North America region.

Currently, from translations we know the tentative names of ten regions in the game, City of Witches, Vampire Hill, Palanuo Valley, Mist Island, Pirate Cave, Rebellion Plains, The Howling Cliff, Snake Island, Barbarian Valley, and Altar of Dakun. The maps found in game show that TERA will release with probably well over 20 unique regions.

Lore
From what we can piece together of lore, the story of TERA is one of adventure and war, all set on exotic terrain. Some of the playable races, like the Baraka and Popori appear to have lived fairly peacefully throughout Arborea’s history, while races like the savage Aman and hardy Castanics have never shied away from battle. Ever tying to improve on their civilizations, the High Elves and Humans have overcome hardship and work to remain vastly powerful.

Currently there are no factions in TERA, however, the promised political system could have a large impact on what lore we know.
