Restore Task Manager (taskmgr.exe, taskman.exe), Regedit (regedit.exe) & Command Prompt (cmd.exe, command.com)
Restore Task Manager (taskmgr.exe, taskman.exe), Regedit (regedit.exe) & Command Prompt (cmd.exe, command.com)
If you have previously been invited by a virus, trojan or some spyware, Even if you had some anti-virus installed and updated, you can still be infected by a new or custom made malicious application that is not recognized or doesn’t have a signature from your antivirus software. After removing some of these viruses from your windows system, you may have new issues or problems such as you can no longer bring up Windows Task Manager from CTRL+ALT+DEL. You will get the error message saying “Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator”.

You think that it’s easy to fix this problem by going to Registry Editor but you can’t! You get the error message “Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator“.
Or if you like working on the console using your cmd application, and when launching i you get the error message below,
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.
Press any key to continue . . .
These are all signs of Windows Security Restrictions that are commonly set on Windows XP, Windows Vista and various other Microsoft OS’s and are usually caused by policies, registry changes and other nasty lockdowns – by your admins, from a virus/trojan infection or worse..
Thankfully there is a really simple fix.. just download the application below, click the button and you’re done! – You don’t even usually need to reboot!
Any comments/feedback – let me know!
I created this application to re-enable the taskmanager, command prompt and registry editing tools on a PC to cleanup any leftover nasties – I am learning to code a little more
This application is also FREEWARE! – meaning it costs you nothing to download, nothing to use.. enjoy!
